A father who sold his own child for ₹50 thousand
A shocking case of a father selling his 25-day-old baby for ₹ 50,000 has taken place in Chamarajanagar.
As soon as the husband gave birth to a son, he tried to sell the child despite his wife's opposition. After the matter came to light, he needed money for his wife's treatment. There were a lot of debts. So he said that he gave the child to someone else and tried to settle the money
Basava and Nagaveni are married and have a 7-year-old son. He lives in a rented house. Nagaveni gave birth to another baby boy 25 days ago.
But after the birth of the 2nd child, the baby was sold for 50 thousand rupees. The wife had opposed the husband's idea of selling the child.
On learning about the sale of the child, the officials of the Women and Child Welfare Department rushed to the spot and interrogated the Basava and Nagaveni couple. A complaint has been registered against Basava in Chamarajanagar town station on the charge of child selling.
The child's mother told the sexual minority that the child was sold for 50,000 rupees by a person from Galipur, Chamarajanagar and signed a blank sheet.
The officials of the Child Protection Department who have registered a case have now admitted Nagaveni her first child to a nursery. Nagaveni is still a month old. So we have allowed them to be sheltered at the Swadhara Centre. Officials of the Women and Child Development Department said that they have taken action to trace the person in Bengaluru who has given birth to a child.
